The General Court has jurisdiction as follows:

General courts have jurisdiction to hear all final lawsuits, proofs, and the like that are outside the jurisdiction of other courts, notary offices, and the Board of Grievances. They may, in particular, consider the following:

Jurisdiction is also established for the general courts in the governorate or center that does not have a specialized court to consider all lawsuits, cases, final proofs, and the like that fall within the jurisdiction of that specialized court, unless the Supreme Judicial Council decides otherwise.
